Arriving Summer 2026.
Planning approval has recently been achieved for 5 new build 2-bedroom mews houses in The Courtyard, Farnham. Based in the town centre this is the ideal location for downsizers and we are excited to bring these to the market shortly.
Designs are based on a mews style development and create an organic plan arranged around small private courtyards. This presents as a cluster of interesting pitched roof forms, reminiscent of the local vernacular.

The Stage, Shoreditch
Prior to the inception of Chapter One Developments, Ashley and Thomas met while Senior Partners at Gardiner & Theobald LLP on this unique masterplan project in the heart of Shoreditch, London. The project forms part of a major regeneration that combines high-quality contemporary living with the historic setting of Shakespeare’s Curtain Theatre.
Project managed by Ashley and cost managed by Thomas, The Stage is an £870m residential-led mixed-use development in the heart of Shoreditch, London completed in 2023. The new magnet for Shoreditch's cultural and commercial elite, The Stage is a landmark 2.3-acre development designed around a world-class heritage centre on the site of Shakespeare’s Curtain Theatre.
Tasked with delivering seven buildings comprising a mix of residential, commercial, retail and heritage uses. The scheme also incorporates the historic Curtain Theatre, a Shakespearean theatre discovered during basement excavation. The remains are now preserved as part of an immersive heritage experience, showcasing archaeological findings from the dig alongside a purpose-built performance stage positioned where the original Curtain Theatre stage once stood.

The Stage Apartments
The Stage Shoreditch comprises 412 high specification apartments within a striking 37-storey residential tower in the heart of East London. Delivered as part of a landmark mixed-use scheme, the homes range from studios to four-bedroom duplex penthouses and are arranged around a vibrant public piazza built above the preserved remains of Shakespeare’s historic Curtain Theatre. The residences combine contemporary architecture, high quality interior design and a comprehensive suite of resident amenities, creating one of Shoreditch’s most distinctive residential addresses.
2 London Wall Place
2 London Wall Place is a contemporary office building set within a vibrant new destination in the heart of the City of London. Designed by Make Architects, the building offers high quality workspace across 16 storeys, combining striking architecture with expansive floorplates and exceptional natural light.
Tom was the lead quantity surveyor for part of the wider London Wall Place campus, the building sits within beautifully landscaped public gardens that reveal the historic remains of the Roman city wall and the medieval tower of St Alphage Church. The development blends modern design with heritage, creating a distinctive setting for work within the Square Mile.
The Curtain Theatre
The Curtain Theatre is a unique cultural landmark at the heart of The Stage in Shoreditch, built around the preserved remains of one of London’s most important Elizabethan playhouses. First opened in 1577, the theatre is closely linked to Shakespeare’s early career and is believed to have hosted some of his earliest performances.
Today, the site has been carefully integrated into a contemporary public space, allowing visitors to experience the historic remains while enjoying a vibrant destination for culture, events and outdoor gathering.
The Hewett, Shoreditch
Delivered by Ashley and Tom, The Hewett is a contemporary office building located within The Stage development in Shoreditch, one of London’s most creative and fast-growing districts. Designed by internationally renowned architects Perkins&Will, the building delivers approximately 70,000 sq ft of high-quality workspace across eight floors, combining modern design with thoughtful references to the area’s rich cultural heritage.
One Pancras Square, Kings Cross
Project managed as one of Ashley’s first-ever projects. One Pancras Square is a distinctive contemporary office building at the gateway to the King’s Cross regeneration, positioned between King’s Cross and St Pancras International stations. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, the building combines striking architecture with high quality workspace, creating a strong presence overlooking the vibrant public realm of Pancras Square.
The Bard, Shoreditch
The Bard is a striking contemporary office building at The Stage in Shoreditch, designed by award-winning architects Perkins&Will. Offering over 110,000 sq ft of premium workspace, the building combines modern design with sustainability and high quality amenities, creating an inspiring environment for forward-thinking businesses.
